The New 2011 Philippine Peso Bills

For my very first blogpost for year 2011, I would like to feature this new generation of Philippine Bank Notes. YUP KABAYANS!! After more than two decades of the same Philippine Peso Bills that we usually have, the BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS finally issued a new set of bills. Well, for lucky charm as the New Year starts I decided to make this blogpost about MONEY. The last time we saw this change was when our late President Cory Aquino became the President of the Republic of the Philippines after the historical 1986 PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION. The newly installed government back then replaced the "BAGONG LIPUNAN" Bills of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. I guess, like Mother like Son since under our newly elected President Noynoy Aquino another generation of bills are created. I've featured the current bills wayback January 27,2009 and two years after my blogpost back then here's another feature this time regarding these new Philippine Peso Bills.

May I present you...... THE NEW PHILIPPINE PESO BILLS 2011!!

These new bank notes took three years to design and conceptualize. There are some changes which included the inclusion of the late President Cory Aquino in the P500 note joining Ninoy Aquino. Other changes are the inclusion of some of the Philippine?s landmarks and younger pictures of the heroes and political figures. The new security features of the bank notes include embossed prints, serial numbers, security fibers, watermarks, security thread, optically variable device, optically variable ink, and a see-through mark. The features increase as the value of the note goes higher.
