Sharon den Adel, Within Temptation’s talented vocalist, has exclusively revealed on the band’s website the joyous news that she is expecting a baby! At the same time though, she apologizes to fans that this means the tour dates for Spring 2011 have been re-scheduled for Autumn 2011. Within Temptation are very honored that the clamor by fans for tickets has meant that the dates in London, Paris, and Copenhagen have already been upgraded to bigger venues.
Due to this strong demand, the band are pleased to announce 12 additional shows to the re-scheduled European tour. The tour now kicks off on September 21st and will also see the band visit Portugal and the Czech Republic.
Within Temptation are currently in the studio finalizing their long awaited fifth studio album with producer Daniel Gibson. Titled The Unforgiving, this is the band's first concept album and is based on a comic book story written by script writer Steven O'Connell (BloodRayne & Dark 48). The band asked comic artist Romano Molenaar (Witchblade,Darkness and X-men) to draw the characters and scenery of The Unforgiving.
The album is set for release in March 2011, via Sony Music in Continental Europe and Roadrunner Records in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland, Japan, and Australia.
