Dumbo Gets Mad - Elephants At The Door. Free With A Tweet - Album Download.

"It is a peculiar one-man project (with a little help from his girlfriend who sings on some tracks) born in the heat of this past Italian summer. He was influenced from many different artists such as Bibio, Gonjasufi, Flying Lotus, the Radio Dept, the United States of America, Ash Ra Tempel and Captain Beefheart. He experimented with old-fashioned stuff like analog synthesizers and tape machines. His uplifting inspiration led him to psychelicious noises
and melodies, ended up finding this futuristic vintage sound yet to be classified!"

Bad Panda Records bring us some juicy Italian Psychedelia penned in no particular colourful order. Although a genre largely explored over previous decades of spoil and toil, it only takes one eccentric Italian to regenerate another parallel dimension. Elephant At The Door steps up as a vinyl & download release, the latter is yours for the price of a Tweet. On the whole, this multi-instrumentalist has combined lounge psychedelia with modern electrolica while synthetic horns with lush vocals neatly encapsulate a Euro groove to the full. The fact that I feel so totally at ease with this record, even finding it extremely difficult to choose between tracks to add below this post - Finalising the ticking of all the boxes procedure was unquestioned.

"Do you remember Dumbo hallucinating in the 1941 Disney?s masterpiece; pink elephants were parading like crazy, psychedelically dancing and singing? Yep, Dumbo Gets Mad!"
