Motorhead - Rock In Rio - Lisbon Event 2010

Expect the unexpected was and surely remains a golden rule when involved in any live performance. You have to feel a little for the TV programme director covering Motorhead's gig at 2010's Rock In Rio performance in Lisbon.

When the sound system 'melts' just after the first couple of minutes and the band decide to go and have a nice cup of tea (that's what Motorhead have always done) whilst the road crew find a replacement fuse, the live TV coverage takes advantage of the break by looking for anything Motorhead to pan in and away from. Even the crowds batteries run low, however I am pleased to say that when Motorhead finally get the show on the road we are reminded that they remain one of the worlds premier no nonsense rock and roll bands, with both the bass and lead guitar levels turned up to eleven. Rock in Rio is a series of rock festivals held in Brazil and later in Portugal and Spain. This is of course from the Lisbon event last year.

The video included above, covers the opening ten minutes, complete with the TV directors nightmare of 'doing something with nothing'. Enjoy as we always say.
