Top Ten Music Videos of 2010

A look at station to station's favorite ten videos from 2010. It was a close battle for the top spot between an instructional video on how to play golf and a T-Rex, womanizing puppet named Frank. Decisions. The whole ten are below, watch for hi jinx, hilarity and Jake Gylnnehall.

1. The Books-I Didn't Know That
Not just you everyday guide to golf including a vacuum cleaner on a green, an old man throwing a bowling ball across another green, and a guy showing you how to golf one armed to get that swing down. No, if you stick around long enough, some great rifle range shooting. All around, hilarious and delightful. 80's nostalgia done in a wicked way.

2. The Black Keys-Next Girl
A lot of bikinis, cat-fights, and a puppet named Frank keep your eyes occupied during their video for "Next Girl". If you can focus your attention away from the lip syncing puppet and the scantly dressed ladies in the background, you'll see a disclaimer crawling along along the bottom of the screen.A message from the Black Keys showing their displeasure in the use of the video for their song, and especially, that damn puppet. But really, who doesn't love a womanizing, lip syncing puppet? Especially one that's a dinosaur.

3. OK Go-This Too Shall Pass
I know, this really should be number one. But alas the band known for making viral hits was passed up by a dinosuar and a golf instructional video. But don't worry, how can anyone not love this giant mouse trap video which all you can think of the whole time is "How many takes did they have until they got this correct?" Who cares. It's OK GO. And it's video gold.

4. Ratatat-Drugs
These people are auditioning or modeling (Show me....disappointment) and they are really frightening, I mean, can't get to sleep nightmarish. And who in the world decided to throw Santa Claus in for 2 seconds. You'll laugh at first and then you will run from screen in panic. Thanks Ratatat.

5. Caribou Sun
The video that brings back ladies 50+ getting their dancing groove or some sort of "Sun" ritual on in a living room. And then some guy representing MC Hammer shows up and starts dancing with his own posse, including some younger ladies. Bizarre and entertaining. My cup of tea.

6. Best Coast-When I'm With You
Who knew that the person lead singer Bethany Cosentino pined for in this song closely resembles Ronald McDonald. They look like a happy couple and the faux Ronald assists at the end with beer, cats, sunscreen, whatever to make Cosentino satisfied. Love the scene at an In-N-Out restaraunt.

7. Vampire Weekend-Giving Up The Gun
Any video featuring an indoor tennis tournament including Daft Punk, Joe Jonas, coach Lil John, official RZA, and an inabbreiated Jake Gyllenhaal is alright with me.

8. Ted Leo and The Pharmacists-Bottled In Cork
A comical or snide swipe at Green Day's "American Idiot" on Broadway. Either way, hilarious. "Pardon me gentlemen, but I hardly think that is the last item on your docket...."

9. La Roux-Bulletproof
Perhaps the most visually appealing video of the year. As well as the best homage to the eighties with new technology thrown in...and a pretty good synthpop song to boot.

10. Tame Impala-Solitude Is Bliss
Guy freaks out. Bad drug trip perhaps? Or a really aggresive rush hour.
