Minneapolis Extremes

This winter we had some crazy weather with tons of snow and extremely cold temperatures. Heavy snow collapsed the Metrodome and made our neighborhood streets borderline impassable. That was a scant 3 months ago. During that time, I found this image on a Minneapolis blog:

This week, we were blasted with a record-breaking heat wave. Yesterday, the temp hit 103! Our house was transformed into a sauna and roads around the metro buckled due to heat stress. I found myself fondly remembering the days when the city felt like Hoth. So I made my own image to depict the current state of the city.

Yeah, it was toasty. Thankfully, the heat broke overnight and we're enjoying some lovely 70s. Much more Minnesota Nice.
