Remember when our country was led by humble men of humble origins?
Remember when being a legislator was a civic duty?
Remember when our our leaders did their civic duty and then went back to work at home?
Remember when legislators were not career politicians?
Remember when the most important topic of discussion was what is good for the country and not what is best for the party?
Remember when the only special interest that Congress served was the people of the United States?
Do you remember?
Probably not. It has been gone for a long time. But wouldn't it be great to get that type of government back.
Our country could be great again if we had some back to basics government. A government for the people, of the people and by the people. The way it was meant to be.
