Kori Pop - From The Outskirts.

The debut album release `From The Outskirts` is a vibrant uncomplicated gem - Kori Pop (a wonderful real name) sings from a distinctive, very personal level, her voice is allowed a vast amount of freedom and acoustic compromise - The backing instrumentation does Kori proud, although adding a bloody huge string section would only satisfy my own orchestra tendencies. Recorded at the `Barn Window Studio` in Ontario, `From The Outskirts` is filled with Jazz/Folk qualities providing a audio springboard for Kori`s sweet voice, a fantastically transparent sound which leaves an aftertaste as clear as a cold mountain spring. I can`t see kori being a closely guarded secret for long, beautiful voices travel well and the musical world has become an extremely small place. The lead single `Nowhere Near My Heart` is being offered for free download over at Kori`s Bandcamp Site. An inventive home made video for the single release can be viewed through Vimeo.

"I have my first music video up and running! I made all the puppets and sets using scrapbook paper, some magazine cut outs, odds and ends around the house and, my own drawings".

"When I write music, I can see it just as much as hear it. I will sit at the piano, or with my guitar and wait?wait for the music to show itself. This visual/audio relationship is fascinating to me".
